Leading Scholars

Although many researchers have examined this topic, I believe the four most influential scholars are Edward Deci and Richard Ryan, for their conceptualizations of intrinsic motivation, and Dev Poonam and Howard Adelman, for their work focusing specifically on intrinsic motivation in students with (and without) learning disabilities.
